My Body Remembers is collaboration between Avélina de Ment (words, voice) and Helen Hines (polaroids, sound). This piece explores the body, endometriosis, and sterile medical spaces — transferring embodied pain and memory through poetry, photography & sound. It was first exhibited at the University of the Arts Berlin Rundgang, but was taken down for censorship reasons. The artists turned it into a guerrilla performance piece, different people carrying it and walking around the University with it, to reveal the stigmatization of female bodies and menstruation.
